

Tom earned Master of Science degrees from both Wilkes University and The University of Scranton as well as a Doctorate in Human Development from Marywood University.ĭedicated to education in the truest sense, Tom’s career began at his Alma Mater Scranton Prep where he taught both chemistry and computer science from 1985-1998. He was a 1980 graduate of Scranton Preparatory School and a 1984 graduate of College of the Holy Cross, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He had been working out in the gym faithfully for the last couple years and looked forward to his morning workouts that gave him energy for the day! He had a great sense of humor and loved to make anyone laugh whenever he had an opportunity to! He is forever loved and will be missed by all those in his life! He absolutely loved chasing around all of his grandkids whenever he got the chance. He also enjoyed fishing trips to Ruth Lake and Freshwater Lagoon, mudding in his Toyota truck and playing on the quad, long hikes in the redwoods and playing hide and go seek with the kids and the dogs in the beauty of nature, walks on the beach, weekend BBQs whenever his boys would come home on leave from the military and having his best friend Thomas come hang out every weekend. He had a passion for hunting and looked forward to taking time off every year to go hunt with family and friends. He always took pride in polishing and waxing whatever truck he drove and making it the shiniest on the road! He settled in Fortuna in 2005 when he met the love of his life Amber and continued trucking in the surrounding states. He put his heart and soul into every job he had and always made friends with the people he worked for and with! He always made sure to do better than the best and was always looked forward to seeing his favorite customers he hauled to! He continued driving truck for various companies such as Goselin Transportation, Dave Grandy Logging (where he also ran heavy equipment) Steve Wills Trucking and Stuart Creps Transportation. He traveled the country and enjoyed telling stories of all the places he had been to and the things he had experienced. He went to American Truck School and graduated with his Class A license, and continued on as an instructor there for a while. He went to high school in Yreka and went on to have many jobs that included the local mills and fisheries in Eureka, and other various jobs in various towns in Humboldt County. He grew up in Happy Camp, where he went to grammar school. He was born on Novemto Hobart and Sandra Todd.
